Circle Meet Up - Iowa

Myself & Pink Cricut (Sarah arranged the 9/11 Blog Hop and has an AMAZING set of stamps - she brought 2 sets for Shannon to give away and then Blessed Me with one as well  - YIPPEE!!)

Circle Friends

Hello all my friends,
Well I was Blessed to be able to attend the Cricut Circle meet up yesterday in Iowa. It was so fun to meet so many people whom I feel I already know from our on-line community. I have to say, my fellow paper crafters are some of the nicest people on this planet. For this meet and greet we were supposed to bring a recipe page (and if possible the actual dish) and a party hat made with Provo Craft products. Let me tell you, layouts AMAZING, food YUMMO and the hats FANTASTIC!! We did a fun make and take and just visited like a bunch of friends getting together. The cherry on top was that we were Blessed with Gypsies from Provo Craft since we were celebrating Shannon Lerners BD.

I am so excited to be going to Utah next month to attend the Inaugural Cricut swarm. There will be lots of other people to meet and I am sure I will be sleeping on the plane on the way home as I will not be sleeping too much there.

I would love to share a few pictures that I took at the meet up as well as my recipe page:

Happy Birthday Banner

Here is a Banner that I designed to go along with the card fronts I had posted previously. I used Old West for the lettering, hat, saddle & horseshoe. For the Banner itself I used Country Life. There are stickles, pop dots, gems and jute rope. I think I may be making many more of these in the future. As a matter of fact my SIL told me my nephew is requesting a train themed BD party - I am pretty sure I will use my Cricut Lite cartridge B is for Boy on that one.

I will be drawing from the comments I received on the 9/11 Blog Hop this evening and will post with another project tomorrow.

Blessings, Jenny Kozar

While I am here, I thought I would share some Birthday cards I made this morning for a party that my family and I are attending this afternoon. I am still using what I have and both of these cards were made ENTIRELY from scraps!! Hope you enjoy them.

Blog Hop

Today is the day - thoughts of 9/11 can take many forms for many people. Our Heroes on that day were in  the form of everyday people, firefighters and police. Each year I feel it is an honor to the families that were left behind to let them know we will not forget. Take a moment to yourself today to thank our everyday heros as well as to remember all who were lost on that tragic day. And also, remember our troops who are stationed away from their homes and families allowing us to continue on with our everyday freedoms. God Bless ~ Jenny Kozar

 Cartridges used:
Gypsy Wanderings for the grass.
Just Because Cards for the tree.
Create A Critter and Paper Pups for the clouds.
A Childs Year for the boy and the mom.
Graphically Speaking for the work Remember.
Calligraphy for the 9.11.01.

Also, I would love to know that you stopped by so I am offering up some Blog Candy. I would love for you to be a follower but you do not have to. I will close up the offer for the blog candy on Monday evening and will post a winner on Tuesday. And now onto the candy:

9/11 Blog Hop

I will be participating in my first Blog Hop on 9/11. The hop will include the following sites:

http://dawnsaddiction.blogspot.com/

I work in the financial industry in downtown Chicago. That morning as I was in the elevator going to the office people were talking about an airplane flying into the World Trade Center Tower and what a terrible accident this was. There are televisions around our office that always have news channels on. When the second plane flew into the other tower the feeling that this was no accident was very prevalent around the office. Those towers that were hit contained several financial services offices and many of the people that perished were customers and colleagues of mine. There are no words to explain how mind numbing this was - to find out who was there and that they had no chance of escape.

Now the office I was working in is surrounded by windows, has a direct view of the Sears Tower and is located in the same building as the Chicago Stock exchange. Because this was now apparent that we were under attack and there was no way to know what the next target was my bosses elected to send us all home. The trains out of the city were packed. I went to get my daughters from school and they were terrified for me and did not want me to return back to work downtown. Luckily, I work for a very nice family oriented company and they elected to have us all work from home for the next few days.

I am honored to take part in this Blog Hop recognizing the heroes that help to bring us our freedom each and every day - by their own choice. As a matter of fact, I have a cousin serving in Afghanistan with a branch of the army right now.

Please remember all the families who lost someone during this attack and wave your American Flags proudly on 9/11.

Blessings, Jenny
