Hi friends,
Well I did not make all 20 of the Circleville challenges but I still had fun trying.

This post is all about DCWV and their May Stack-A-Holic challenge - I used the Hey Sailor stack to record this memory:

Loved the layering that was a part of this sketch.

#CirclevilleNSD Day 2 Challenge #4 Make Mine Monochromatic

I think the title of the challenge speaks for itself.

I used my Explore to cut out the whale and used a Fiskars shape ruler for my waves:

Paper is from Lawn Fawn.

I hope you have a whale of a day!!

‪#‎CirclevilleNSD‬ Day 2 Challenge 3 XO Three in a Row

This challenge was a tic / tac / toe challenge and we were to choose which row we wanted to use to challenge ourselves.

I selected Bling, Die Cut and Stamp for my layout.

For this layout I used paper, embellishments and a stamp from Dear Lizzy. I just love the fun girly papers.

‪#‎CirclevilleNSD‬ Challenge #10 Did I Mension

A dimension challenge this time. I used the Tablescapes Spring /Summer cartridge for this:

It is getting dark so it was harder to get a nice picture, and I am thinking I really want to play with this a little more.

I used paper from October afternoon Cakewalk Collection and twine. I mean really this is pretty simple but yep... I think I need to dress this up some more.

#CirclevilleNSD Challenge #8 Itsy Bitsy Stencil

This challenge was to use a stencil made with your Cricut. I used the Paper Lace 2 cartridge and created a few Mothers Day cards:

I used the butterfly stencil and a butterfly cut.  I reversed the colors on the two cards just for a little difference.

Card Base is DCWV
Cardstock is My Favorite Things
Patterned Paper is a 6x6 pad from My Minds Eye Miss Caroline collection
Seam binding colored with a Memento Ink Pad and gems from my stash.

Two more to go and I am done with Day 1!

#CirclevilleNSD Day 1 Challenge 9 Lift it Up

And this completes the day 1 challenges  - this weekend I hope to conquer Day 2!

This challenge was called Lift It up, it was to take an image and add dimension to it.

This is a Saturated Canary image called Queenie and Princess.

I stamped it 4 times onto some Xpress it blending paper and then cut those images out with my Brother Scan and Cut. Then I fussy cut the parts that I was going to add the dimension to.

The image was colored with Copics and backed onto My Favorite Things cardstock. Not sure which sentiment I will add to this yet but I sure am happy to have another card ready in my stash.

#CirclevilleNSD Challenge #5 Two Tickets to Paradise

This challenge was to come up with what would be paradise for you. Well, living in the midwest this year has been challenging, so my paradise would be a relaxing day on the beach with a good book in my hand:

This sassy lady was made using the Fun in the Sun Cricut cartridge cut with my Explore. The sun was from the Designers Calendar cartridge. Paper for the card base is from Bazzil, and the images were cut with cardstock from My Favorite things. The patterned paper is from a 6x6 DCWV stack.

#CirclevilleNSD Challenge #4 Make Mine a Mini

The fun continued for sure! This challenge was to use one 12x12 piece of scrapbook paper to make a mini. Many of the other participants had a great idea to use this to store passwords. Not sure what I will use this for yet but I really like it.

I again used some October Afternoon from my stash (I am hooked on this company!!!) The 12x12 sheet is from the sidewalks collection, the binder is also from a 8x8 piece from the same collection. The ribbon, buttons, banner and duck are embellishments are from Sidewalks as well.

#CirclevilleNSD Challenge #3 - #1 Fan is a Man

Hello Again,

Challenge #3 here for our celebration. This one took some time for sure but was well worth it. I made this mini using pictures from my sons first year of football in 2009 and I just may make this my hubbys Fathers Day gift. (This is very picture heavy.)

The papers I used are from two 8x8 pads from the October Afternoon Collections:
Sidewalks and 5 & Dime.

It is truly amazing when you flip through your paper pads at all the hidden treasures. All embellishments are just from stash I have on hand.

#CirclevilleNSD Challenge #2 Color Challenge

Hello Again,

Our second challenge over on the Circle Message board was a color challenge. The colors selected were Green, Purple and Blue.

My hubby is a huge Seattle Sports fan. This was the perfect opportunity to get a picture on a page from a Washington Husky game he attended with our son, daughter and my sons friend.

The paper collection and embellishments I used are from Basic Grey called Hey Boy. I also used my Cricut Explore to cut out the wolf (I am pretending he is a huskie) and the W.

#CirclevilleNSD - Challenge #1 Sing A Song

Over on the Cricut Circle message boards we are celebrating NSD all weekend long with lots of challenges and TONS of inspiration.

The first Challenge was Sing A Song.

I just got my hands on the DCWV Hello Sailor stack and was dying to use it. The song that popped in my head was Child of A One True King by Matthew West and this song and stack went great for a few pictures to document my sons Baptism.

The golds and navy in this stack are SO versatile and I felt really just worked for this occasion.
