Crafting Companion with Cristina - New Years Kiss

Unfortunately this has not made it to Cristina although I have tried to send it a few times. I was honored to be able to participate in a crafting companion challenge with her and she gave me the task of creating something in regards to the New Years Kiss.

I used 3 different Cricut cartridges:
Winter Woodland for the Numbers at 1 inch
Cricut Sampler for the Skyline welded on my gypsy twice at 5.71 x 4.06 (I then punched out all the windows and put white paper behind the black to show through the windows and then trimmed around the skyline)
Sweethearts for the people (sitting couple 3.19 x 3.24, standing couple 2.60 x 5.71 and dancing couple 2.64 x 3.24)

I doodled around everything with my Sakura gel pen.

I used a QuicKutz die with my cuttlebug for the large circle that contains the number 1.

I sprinkled Martha Stewart tinsel glitter to look like snow on the buildings and in the background.

The paper used is:
Wonderful Winter by My Minds Eye (I thought it looked like fireworks)
Grey paper is DCWV
Black Paper is The Paper Company

I have been thinking about this for some time and this layout just kept coming back to mind. My daughter actually wants this and will remove the dancing couple to place a New Years picture of herself and her boyfriend.

This was a challenge but I truly enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me play along.

Let me know what you think. And Happy New Year!! May 2011 bring you much happiness and many blessings!

Hugs, Jenny
